  • How can I determine if you're the right Realtor for me?
That's an important question, and I'm glad you're asking it! The right Realtor should feel like someone you can trust completely during one of life's biggest decisions. When we talk, you'll know pretty quickly if we're a good fit. I believe in being completely transparent about the process, realistic about timelines and market conditions, and I'm never too busy to answer your questions—even the ones you think might be silly. My clients often tell me they felt heard and understood from our very first conversation. You should feel confident in your Realtor's expertise. I've been helping families in Northern Virginia since 2012, and there's not much I haven't seen in this market. Whether you're buying your first home, selling a family property, or relocating from across the country, I understand that every situation is personal. The best part of my job is turning what can feel overwhelming into something empowering. If that sounds like the kind of support you're looking for, let's chat and see if we're a good match.
  • How do you stand out from other real estate agents in Northern Virginia?
What sets me apart is my approach to client relationships. This isn't just a transaction for me—it's about understanding what this move means for your life and ensuring you feel supported every step of the way. I bring a unique combination of local expertise and global reach through my affiliation with Sotheby's International Realty. I've been in Northern Virginia since 2012 and know this community inside and out, but I also have access to the marketing power and luxury network of the world's premier real estate brand. My clients consistently tell me I go above and beyond their expectations, whether that's staging your home to sell for top dollar, connecting you with the best contractors, or simply being available when you need reassurance. I specialize in both existing homes and new construction, so whether you're drawn to a historic property in Leesburg or a new build in Purcellville, I can guide you through the unique aspects of each type of purchase. At the end of the day, I want you to feel like you're my only client because that's the level of attention and care I provide.
  • How frequently will you keep me updated during the real estate process?
Communication is key to a smooth real estate experience, and I keep you informed every step of the way. During an active buying or selling process, I typically provide updates at least twice a week, and more frequently when things are moving quickly. If we're in negotiations, reviewing offers, or approaching closing, you might hear from me daily. I always return calls and texts the same day, usually within a few hours. I communicate in whatever way works best for you—whether that's detailed email updates, quick texts, or phone calls. You'll have my direct cell number, and I'm never too busy to answer your questions. The Northern Virginia market moves fast, and with Sotheby's International Realty's resources, I often get information before it hits the broader market. When that happens, you'll be among the first to know.
  • Do you assist first-time homebuyers?
Absolutely! First-time homebuyers are some of my favorite clients to work with. There's something really special about helping someone find their very first home—it's such a milestone, and I never take that responsibility lightly. I know the process can feel intimidating when you've never done it before. There's a lot of terminology, paperwork, and moving parts that can seem overwhelming. That's why you need someone in your corner who will take the time to explain everything clearly and make sure you feel confident about each decision. I've walked hundreds of first-time buyers through this process in Northern Virginia, so I know all the questions you're going to have before you even think to ask them. We'll start with understanding what you can afford and getting you pre-approved with one of my trusted lenders. Then I'll educate you on the different neighborhoods and what to expect in each price range. When we're looking at homes, I'll point out things you might not notice—both the good and the potential concerns. I want you to go into this with your eyes wide open. During negotiations and inspections, I'll explain what's normal and what's not, and help you make decisions that protect your interests. Through Sotheby's International Realty, I have access to properties and market insights that can give first-time buyers an edge, especially in competitive situations. Plus, I work with an excellent team of mortgage professionals, inspectors, and attorneys who understand how to make the process as smooth as possible for newcomers to real estate.
  • What's your approach to pricing my home?
Pricing is absolutely critical - it's the difference between selling quickly for top dollar and sitting on the market for months. My approach combines deep market analysis with strategic positioning to ensure your home gets the attention it deserves from the right buyers. First, I'll do a comprehensive comparative market analysis looking at recently sold properties, current competition, and market trends specific to your neighborhood. But I go beyond just square footage and bedroom counts. I look at the unique features that make your home special - the things that will matter to buyers who appreciate quality and character. As part of Sotheby's International Realty, I have access to luxury market data and insights that many agents simply don't have. I can see what's happening at the higher end of the market and understand how that influences pricing throughout Northern Virginia. Here's what I've learned after years in this market: overpricing doesn't get you more money, it gets you fewer showings and eventually leads to price reductions that signal desperation to buyers. Underpricing can leave money on the table. The sweet spot is pricing strategically to generate immediate interest and create competition among qualified buyers. I'll present you with a detailed pricing strategy that shows exactly how I arrived at my recommendation, along with different scenarios based on your timeline and goals. Whether you need to sell quickly or have the luxury of waiting for the perfect buyer, we'll price accordingly. And because every home truly is one of a kind, I make sure the pricing reflects not just the market comparables, but the unique value your property brings to the right buyer.
  • How do you market homes for sale?
Marketing is where the magic happens, and it's honestly one of my favorite parts of the job. With Sotheby's International Realty, I have access to marketing resources that most agents can only dream of - and I use every single one of them. We start with professional photography that showcases your home's unique character. Not just any photographer, but someone who specializes in luxury real estate and knows how to capture what makes your property special. For higher-end homes, we often include drone footage, virtual tours, or even video walkthroughs. Your listing goes on the MLS, of course, but it also gets featured on Sotheby's International Realty's global website, which attracts buyers from around the world. We're talking about buyers who specifically seek out unique properties and have the means to purchase them. I create custom marketing materials that tell your home's story - beautifully designed brochures, targeted social media campaigns, and email marketing to my extensive network of contacts. For unique properties, I might host exclusive previews for select agents or arrange private showings for serious buyers before we even go public. Here's something most people don't know: Sotheby's has relationships with luxury publications and can often secure editorial coverage for distinctive properties. We're not just listing your home - we're curating an experience for potential buyers. I also believe in old-fashioned relationship building. I personally reach out to agents who represent buyers looking for homes like yours, and I tap into the Sotheby's network of agents worldwide. Sometimes the perfect buyer is already working with someone in our network. Every marketing plan is customized because every home is one of a kind.
  • Can you help me if I'm relocating from out of state?
Relocating from out of state is one of my specialties, and it's something I genuinely love helping people navigate. I've been doing this in Northern Virginia since 2012, so I've helped hundreds of families make this transition successfully. Moving to a new area when you don't know the neighborhoods, schools, or local market can feel overwhelming. That's where my local expertise really makes a difference. I'll start by learning about your lifestyle, commute needs, and priorities, then I can guide you to the communities that make the most sense for your family. I have relationships with top-rated mortgage professionals who understand the complexities of out-of-state financing, and I can coordinate timing so everything aligns with your move. I've also built a network of trusted service providers - from home inspectors to attorneys - who understand the unique needs of relocating buyers. One thing that sets Sotheby's International Realty apart is our global network. If you're moving from another state, there's likely a Sotheby's agent in your current area who can help coordinate the sale of your existing home. We work together to make sure both transactions happen smoothly. I can arrange virtual tours and video walkthroughs so you can see properties before making the trip to Northern Virginia. When you do visit, I'll plan an efficient itinerary that maximizes your time and gives you a real feel for different neighborhoods. I understand this is about more than just finding a house - you're choosing a new community for your family. I'll share insights about everything from local restaurants to the best schools to weekend activities, helping you envision your life here.
  • How long have you been selling real estate in Northern Virginia?
I've been helping families with real estate in Northern Virginia since 2012, so that's over twelve years now. But my story actually starts a bit earlier - I got my real estate license in 2005 and began my career in Atlanta, where I was honored to receive Sales Agent of the Year awards multiple times. When I moved to Virginia in 2012, I joined McEnearney Associates in Leesburg and really fell in love with this market. There's something special about Northern Virginia - the rich history, the diverse communities, the proximity to DC, and honestly, the quality of people who choose to live here. A few years ago, I made the move to Sotheby's International Realty, which has been incredible for both me and my clients. The global reach and luxury market expertise have opened up opportunities I never had before, while still allowing me to serve families at every price point. What I love about having this much experience in one area is that I've seen multiple market cycles. I've helped clients through the challenging years after 2008, the competitive seller's markets, and everything in between. That perspective is invaluable when advising clients - I can put current market conditions in context and help you make decisions based on long-term trends, not just what's happening today. I've also built deep relationships throughout the area - with other agents, lenders, inspectors, contractors, and service providers. When you've been doing this as long as I have in the same market, those relationships become a huge advantage for your clients. Northern Virginia has been my home for over a decade now, and I can't imagine doing this work anywhere else.
